Call of Duty: Black Ops II Tournament
That’s right, you read the headline correctly. NewbCast Gaming is hosting it’s first gaming tournament. Time to get your fingers warmed up for some Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
The tournament is being held at Games N Go in the Rosedale Mall on Sunday, November 18th. That’s right, we’re only giving you five days practice time before we put your skills to the test.
Tournament time is from 1pm to 5pm, with check in starting promptly at 12 noon. We’re providing 1 hour of practice time for all participants during the check in time. This is a bring your own PS3 controller event.
Entry is free (you know you all love that), with 1st place receiving a $25 dollar gift card to Games N Go. That’s almost half the price of a new game we just paid for you!!

You Won’t Feel A Thing…
Joey here,
From time to time you might notice that I post something on the website. A majority of the time, I’m uploading the NewbCast Gaming Podcast for your listening pleasure. Other times, I’ll post something random and fun. Just recently, I finally uploaded my “About Me” page to the website. And there will be times that my posting will involve something site related. This is one of those posts.
As you may know from our Facebook or Twitter feed, our site was one of the many sites that was down on September 10th, 2012 when GoDaddy was having issues with their DNS system. And while we didn’t loose any data from the unplanned outage, it did make us (NewbCast Gaming) rethink about who we partner with in regards to who we trust our site with. And without getting in to the specifics of our decision, we have decided to leave GoDaddy and move our services to another provider.
So what does this mean for you? It means that you will be able to experience everything NewbCast Gaming has to offer with hopefully no technical issues from our new hosting provider. Our new provider comes highly recommended from other websites authors, and I have full faith that the transition will be as smooth as possible.
But that’s something I can’t promise. So during the next couple of weeks, you might experience the hopefully rare downtime while we move our site to our new provider. We encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for site updates when this does happen. And if you have any questions, concerns or comments, you can post them to either of those two social platforms, or you can e-mail me directly at joey@newbcastgaming.com.
